Arsenal legend claims Chelsea will finish below Spurs at the end of the season

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has claimed that Tottenham will finish above us in the League this season, meaning that we will fail to finish in the top four this season. We slipped down to 5th place in the standings this weekend, following our 2-1 defeat against Manchester United on Sunday. This allowed Spurs to move up to 4th position after they defeated Crystal Palace 1-0.

We have a difficult game this Sunday, as we are set to play against Manchester City, who are on a high after defeating Arsenal in the final of the Carabao Cup on Sunday. Henry believes that our upcoming game against an in-form City side is a must win if we are to stand any chance of finishing in the top four this season.

“It’s going to be a fight,” he told Sky Sports (h/t Express).

“I think four weeks ago I said Chelsea would be challenging for second and look at where they are right now.

“They had their trouble obviously, losing back-to-back games recently, especially at home against Bournemouth. The 3-0 defeat was a tough one to take.

“But it looks like it’s going to be a battle between Tottenham and Chelsea. The way the two teams are playing right now, you would back Tottenham to be in the top four instead of Chelsea.

“But because of the teams that they are playing right now Chelsea, it’s a bit difficult to judge. They need to go and win at City, it’s going to be a difficult one. Tottenham might make the gap even bigger, so we will see what’s going to happen.”

It will not be a surprise if we do not finish in the top four this season, considering that we have not been in the best of forms since the beginning of 2018. Furthermore, our squad morale appears to be low as manager Antonio Conte is said to be unhappy with our board and is likely to end up parting ways with us at the end of the season.

Winning the game against City is going to be a difficult task.
