Chelsea starlet stirs controversy on social media after leaving the club to join Celtic

Charly Musonda might have left Chelsea to join Celtic on loan but the Belgian winger has already stirred controversy as reports are coming in that the 21-year-old has unfollowed a number of Chelsea accounts on social media.

The Belgian joined the Scottish champions on a rather long 18-month deal and even though he played 7 games for us this season, the attacker has not been able to make a big enough impression on Antonio Conte and the rest of the management team.

The youngster joined us from Anderlecht in 2012 but had to deal with a couple of loan spells to Real Betis. It seemed like he was ready to become a regular for the first-team, however, the Belgian is now ready to play in Glasgow. But he already has unfollowed a number of Chelsea first-team players.

The youngster has also unfollowed the Chelsea official account on Instagram too and unless he is trying to win over a few friends at Celtic, this move will not go down too well with the rest of the Chelsea squad.

Is Musonda’s Future Not At Chelsea?

While Conte does like to give chances to young players, the only thing we can speculate about the move is that Musonda will be leaving Chelsea as soon as his loan deal gets over. That can only be the probable reason why he decided to unfollow a number of Chelsea related accounts.

Celtic, however, will be extremely pleased with the deal as it gives them a lot of time to understand and learn what kind of player Musonda can be and under Brendan Rodgers, the Belgian might just turn out to be one of the better players in Scotland.

Rodgers has done exceptionally well with the Celtic team and will be looking at Musonda to take over from Moussa Dembele. Celtic’s Frenchman has not been at his best this season and this move could be the fire to get him going again.

For us, it is a bit of a surprise seeing Musonda leave on an 18-month deal but hopefully, he will be brought back if he performs well.
