Chelsea Manager Set For A Huge Pay Hike If He Wins The Premier League Title

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte will receive a new contract with pay hike if the Blues manage to win the Premier League title in the Italian’s first season in charge – as per the reports from Daily Mail. It does look likely with Conte’s side 9 points ahead in the league table with 14 games to go. He is currently on a £6.5 million a year contract, which runs for 3 years and would bag a pay rise that might match the current Premier League top earners Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola.

Conte’s current pay is less than that of Arsenal and Liverpool managers and it is clear he was least worried about it when he took charge at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea have been solid since losing 3-0 away to Arsenal and they’ve never really slipped since that humiliation. They look like champions already and there is every chance that would be the case by the end of the season too.

If Conte manages to win the title in his first season in England, it would be the 5^th title in 13 years for Roman Abramovich. It would very well mean that Conte would have performed beyond expectations and set off for what could be a long-term Chelsea project. Abramovich is known for his impatience in waiting for titles and the Italian manager will safely enter the good books of the Russian owner if he succeeds in finishing on top.

However, reports in Italy believe that the wealthy Inter owners are preparing for a shock move to bring Antonio Conte to Italy.
