Antonio Conte Opens Up About Chelsea’s Move For Arsenal Ace Alexis Sanchez

Chelsea are constantly linked with Arsenal’s mercurial winger Alexis Sanchez and Antonio Conte has finally spoken about it.

The Chilean international is on a dazzling run of form. In his last away game outing, he bagged a hat-trick in the 5-1 triumph over West Ham United, taking his goal tally to 11 and sharing the top scorer spot with Diego Costa before today’s game. Moreover, Sanchez has played lesser minutes than the Spaniard.

Besides his form, another major talking point of late is his future at the North London club. He is yet to extend his stay, seeking a bumper pay-hike similar to Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, who earns £290,000 a week. Arsenal are a little reluctant of making such mammoth rise thus it’s understandable why a host of big clubs are willing to take advantage.

The Chelsea boss said: “I don’t think is right to talk about the other players with the other teams – it’s not right.

“But I repeat it’s not right to talk about other players. I think this is a lack of respect for the players or the team for my club for my players.”

Chelsea faithful could highlight that their manager hasn’t completely washed away the chances of signing the quick-feet winger thus some degree of suspicion does remain. Sanchez clearly fits Conte’s ideology, he works his socks off, contributing both in defence and attack and most importantly, finds a route towards goal.

In the event Costa or Hazard picks up an injury, the former Barcelona winger would be a trump card. Visualizing an attacking trio of Sanchez-Costa-Hazard is certainly a dream come true for the fans, a combo that will be up there along Real Madrid’s BBC and Barcelona’s MSN. Yet Arsene Wenger has recently stated that the doors are slammed shut for both Mesut Ozil and Sanchez till the end of their current contract.
