Chelsea stormed to the top of the Premier League with a 1-0 win over Middlesbrough. The Blues were the better side throughout the tie and took a deserving lead thanks to Diego Costa in the first half.
Antonio Conte’s side should have scored more goals but Pedro was once denied by a great save from Victor Valdes and then was also denied by the bar in the second half. The Blues didn’t really press Boro all that much in the second half and controlled the game really well to ensure they overtook Liverpool in the Premier League standings.
The Blues kept yet another clean sheet and look a completely different side to the one that lost to Arsenal a few weeks ago. Top of the table, top goal scorer in the league (Costa) and Conte getting his tactics right, here are the best tweets from the win for the Blues.

Those who thought there will be no life at Chelsea after Mourinho can now begin to think differently. Great job by Antonio Conte so far.

Chelsea, City & Liverpool top 3; three highest scorers; 2 of 3 best defences. “Ooooh, these foreign coaches, not used to English football”

They wrote us off, they laughed at us, they thought we were pathetic.
