Brutal From Conte! Chelsea Manager Ready To Axe Two Stars From The Squad

The Blue half of London, Chelsea, recently suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat at hands of Arsenal and it was the defense, which faced a heavy criticism. Gary Cahill’s poor back pass was well dealt by Alexis Sanchez and the former Barcelona man made no mistake to give his side a well-deserved lead.

Just three minutes later, Chelsea’s defense was caught yet again in a typical Arsenal move, as Theo Walcott made it 2-0 for the hosts. Chelsea found themselves lagging three goals behind when Mesut Ozil found the net just before half-time and the score then remained intact.

Well, it was not the first time that Cahill was caught out of possession – remember Swansea’s game? Well, that time he blamed the ref, but this time around, he has no one to blame but himself.

With that being done, many reports are now suggesting that the manager is now ready to axe two players, namely, Branislav Ivanovic and Gary Cahill from the squad. The Daily Mail has stated that Conte is ready to sell the aforementioned names as both have failed to prove their worth and the source further went on to state that Burnley’s Michael Keane and Middlesbrough’s Ben Gibson are two players, who are on the list for January window.

Conte tried his skin out to sign the players like Leonardo Bonucci and Kalidou Koulibaly, but he ended up signing Marcos Alonso and David Luiz. Well, this is no secret that Chelsea do need a defensive reinforcement, and to fill the void, the manager has reportedly started working.

Conte was visibly agitated following the damaging defeat at the Emirates Stadium when questioned about his side’s shocking display at the back.

“Was I angry at half-time? Yes, but I prefer to keep my words, because it’s right when I talk with my players, to keep what I tell them,’ Conte said.

“This is normal. Sure I was angry, but my players were also angry. Because we weren’t satisfied with our game, with our performance. I don’t sleep, sure. I don’t sleep. This is normal.

“After this game, this defeat, it’s normal for me not to sleep. I reflect. And it’s important to reflect.”
