According to the reports from the Sun, the former Manchester United flop Angel Di Maria is now a target for Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.
The Blues started their new campaign with a bang, but a series of poor performances has lowered them down in the Premier League. Sure, Chelsea are in a desperate need to reinforce the defence, but on the other hand, their attack isn’t that vulnerable as well.
Reports have claimed that Di Maria has been unhappy at Paris Saint-Germain ever since former Sevilla boss Unai Emery took over as manager in the summer and this might tempt him to switch the club. Spanish-speaking website Don Balon claims di Maria is confident that he could flourish “under a good coach.”
Well, we all are aware of the fact that how he struggled to assert his authority in the Premier League during his time with Manchester United, but despite that, he is apparently open to a move.
Manager, Antonio Conte, is a big admirer of the player as well and that could well do the trick in the speculation. He has played every single game for the French giants this season but is yet to score a goal. With players like Pedro and Willian failing to prove their worth to the manager, this move might help the manager in future.
