Chelsea’s latest signing N’Golo Kante made his first appearance for the Blues last night in the 3-1 victory over AC Milan in the International Championship Cup and he is looking forward to Chelsea’s first Premier League match against West Ham.
Kante joined Chelsea in a deal worth £32m from Premier League Champions Leicester City last month having signed a five year contract with the Blues.
The player revealed that he decided on a move to the Blues based on the fact that it is managed by Antonio Conte.
“I chose Chelsea because I spoke with the manager here and when I did that, I felt the capacity of the manager and that is why I made my decision,” he told the club’s website.
“And of course I like Premier League football and that is why I decided to stay in the Premier League.
“Now I am in the USA and it is my first time here for anything. I haven’t gone very far.
“I’ve just been in the hotel and at the training ground but from what I see when travelling, it is a big country with big cities and big streets, just like in the movies.”
Kante plays as No-7 left vacated by Ramires in January in the Blues and are expected to be a key member in the squad for the 2016-2017 campaign. With an impressive season at Leicester City, Kante is considered to be one of the major factors leading to the Foxes finishing as the Champions last season.
The player made a record 149 tackles last season for the Foxes, in addition, he also found the net once during the season.
