Chelsea are looking out for a back-up for Thibaut Courtois as Asmir Begovic is set to leave the club and manager Antonio Conte has reportedly identified Diego Lopez as the right candidate to fill Begovic’s shoes.
The Blues have reportedly opened talks for the player and have further offered him a three year deal at the Stamford Bridge. The Blues have good chances of signing the player as reports suggest that Milan are reportedly looking to cut costs on the wages that the players receive and may be willing to let go of Lopez in a nominal fee.
The player joined Milan from Real Madrid in 2014, however, he lost his regular place in the club against wonderkid Gianluigi Donnarumma last season.
The summer transfer window is officially open and the Blues are hoping to close in on Michy Batshuayi once the Euro 2016 is over. Further manager Antonio Conte is also expected to take up the managerial role at the Stamford bridge in the similar timeline.
