Why Signing This 28-year Old Belgian Would Mean Chelsea Will Have A Jaw Dropping Midfield Line Up

When Antonio Conte was appointed on 4th of April, it raised hopes for all the fans after a dismal season for the former manager and the players. New tactics will hopefully turn the fortune and the blues have to retaliate quickly as the rivals will move far ahead if Chelsea don’t invest well and challenge for the top four again.

Conte will most probably be playing his traditional 3-5-2 at Stamford Bridge and the one area which the Italian looked to dominate as always was the midfield area where Paul Pogba, Arturo Vidal and Andrea Pirlo wrecked havoc and dominated games week in week out. Chelsea have been found out in the midfield this season which brought them the league title last season. Nemanja Matic looked like his former self and Cesc Fabregas though decent going forward, does not contribute that much defensively. Mikel has been preferred under Hiddink but is not at the level that Conte will aspire at. Bookies at Online Soccer Betting, predicts that the Blues will sign a central midfielder no matter what happens this summer.

In comes Chelsea target who the player himself has stated that the club has confirmed interest in him, is the Belgian midfielder, Radja Nainggolan. The 27 year old has came into prominence at AS Roma and can be the answer to the blues midfield woes this season. He can be to the team that Vidal was for Conte’s Juventus. He is brilliant going forward as well is good at tackling and all the dirty work.

Chelsea have lacked balance last season with the midfield being either defensive or too attack minded. Nainggolan will bring the much needed balance to the side and should be the no.1 target for Conte this summer. He suits in Conte’s plans perfectly and is the type of player who will give his all in the 90 minutes. Nainggolan is the answer going into the season ahead and will become a fan favorite easily after his arrival at Stamford Bridge.
