Three Chelsea Youngsters Who Could Leave The Club And Go Out On Loan This Season

Antonio Conte faces an uphill task at Stamford Bridge when he takes over at the club after the Euros, which are proving to be a great showcase for the supporters to get used to Conte’s tactics. Italy are playing well and have emerged as one of the favourites against all odds with a relatively aged squad which proves Conte’s might to bring out success in any circumstances. Chelsea will be his toughest test but by the looks of it, the Italian mastermind will derive a plan to take the blues to the top again.

Along with bringing in new faces to the squad, one of the biggest jobs ahead for the Italian will be to give a chance in pre season to all the loanees and decide the future for them. The blues had sent 33 players on loan in the 2015-16 season with a cumulative worth of over £150 million. Some tough decisions have to be made about these fringe players and Conte has to revive Chelsea’s loan policy which has been regarded as a success financially, but not for the Club in terms of playing in the first team squad.

Thibaut Courtois and Kevin De Bruyne are some of the successes from their loan spell but not many had the chance to prove their worth at the Bridge. After winning the youth league last season, Chelsea have talent in abundance at the academy, which needs to be nurtured to produce world class players for the first team. Conte will personally watch their progress and the youngsters who the manager will think that require playing time at another club will be sent out on loan. Playing in the championship or in another League can be useful for the most talented youngsters, so let’s take a look at three such youngsters which will mostly be sent out on loan in the next season:

1. Matt Miazga:

The American made his debut in the league last season and impressed in his first match against Villa but had a torrid time against Swansea in his next game. But just two appearances are not enough to judge him and there are no doubts that this towering defender has what it takes to be a success at the highest level. Miazga can progress well if a loan move is sanctioned for the defender and he gets as much game time as possible and return to the Bridge next season with some experience of the English game under his belt.

2. Charlie Colkett:

The Chelsea u19 captain is one of the graduates who is expected to be a player for the first team squad in the near future. Colkett is a deep lying playmaker and plays his game by looking into his idol’s game, Cesc Fabregas. The youngster likes to dictate the tempo of the game and with a loan move to a club which plays possession based football can be of real use for the midfielder and for the Club in the future.

3. Tammy Abraham:

Like Miazga, the 18 year old made his debut for the first time last season and had impressed one and all with his touches and aerial ability. The youngster who is at the club since his U8 days stands at 6″ 3′ at the age of 18, which means Abraham is going to be a brilliant target man in the future. Along with that, he has blistering pace and needs game time to prove his worth and Conte can make use of one of England’s hottest prospect in the near future.
