According to a report from Rai Sport, Antonio Conte has initiated a move for Italy international Leonardo Bonucci.
The offer is said to be around £39.9 million, but the Serie A champions Juventus are not willing to sell their defender even for that fee. The Italian outfits are holding out for an offer in the range of £47 million. Report says that Juventus are looking to strengthen their defense next season rather than losing their star defender and is not willing to negotiate on the price for the player.
Bonucci has impressed recently in the 2-0 victory over Belgium and is currently with the Italy squad at Euro 2016. Antonio Conte is a big fan and had coached the player when he was at Juventus. Naturally, he is keen to have him at Stamford Bridge as well. Bonucci joined Juventus in 2010 and since then has played in 274 games for the Old Lady. Not sure if Chelsea will be back with an improved offer for the 29 year old, but surely the Blues are interested.
