Andre Gomes was a popular name in the media with a move to Manchester Untied earlier this month. Now looks like Chelsea are in the front seat for the signature of the Valencia ace.
However the player is going to cost Chelsea some pretty penny as per Daily Mirror. The report from Mirror states that the La Liga club has told Chelsea that if they want to get the midfielder then they have to pay £42 million for him. The reason for this hefty price tag is that the player’s 25% stake still lies with his previous club Benfica. Antonio Conte is desperate to strengthen the midfield and after the move for Radja Nainggolan has lead into a dead end, the Italian manager has shifted his focus to the Portuguese midfielder.
The Mirror report further adds that the Blues had made a bid of £27 million earlier for Nainggolan but that has been rejected by AS Roma. Now the question is; with almost twice the price is Andre Gomes the right option?
