Major Blow For Chelsea: Long Term Defensive Target Completes Permanent AS Roma Transfer

For a few weeks not Antonio Rudiger has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge. However, in recent revelation the player has completed a move to AS Roma instead.

This comes as a blow as Chelsea are looking to bolster their defenses in the summer. John Terry has turned back from brink of exit and signed a one year contract. However the veteran defender is likely to engage with a lesser role. Zouma has been impressive, but the young defender is injured and may take a month or two to return. Antonio Rudiger was linked, but he has chosen to join AS Roma for a fee of £6.8 million.

With lack of European football and club under reconstruction the Blues are facing difficulty in the transfer market. Several players from Serie A has been linked with a move to Chelsea however we are yet to see anything concrete. Maybe Conte has a plan for all of us!
