Chelsea has received a major transfer boost in their pursuit of Henrikh Mkhitaryan as reports have emerged from Bild that the player is ready to turn down any offer of a contract extension from Borussia Dortmund.
The Armenian player has one year left on his contract and in the recent times has been linked with a move to Premier League. According to the report, there are lucrative offers for the player from the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea and it has caused the player to turn down an offer from Borussia Dortmund. Apparently the player has asked for £8m in wages and the Premier League clubs are ready to meet his demand.
There were reports last summer that Chelsea had submitted a bid for the player and now it looks like they are ready to chase him again. Mkhitaryan has scored 23 goals and provided 32 assists in 51 appearances. Dortmund is desperate to keep him may be forced to keep him for another year and then allow him to leave as a free agent.
