2 Pros And 2 Cons Of Chelsea And Conte Signing This Leicester Star

The London side Chelsea will be welcoming their new boss Antonio Conte just after the Eur0 2016 reaches its conclusion. He will have to act as fast as possible because he might be the last PL manager to arrive in England for the pre-season.

The Italian gaffer has a great record during his managerial career, but we cannot overlook the fact that this would be his toughest job of the career. The entire squad seemed completely out of confidence last season; therefore, the manager will have to motivate the players to perform again. Besides that, he will have to handle the entire transfer  season speculations.

As there will be no European nights at the Bridge, so many players might refuse to sign for them this Summer. There are many players linked with a move to Chelsea, and one them is Leicester City’s N’Golo Kante.

The 25-year-old Frenchman was an absolute wall during Leicester’s Premier League triumph and was one of the many reasons why Leicester had a perfect season. Kante is currently at his peak and is having a time of his life. His wonderful performances saw him selected in Didier Deschamp’s squad for the Euros and is featuring in every game for the side.

Many reports are suggesting that Chelsea are currently in the chase to sign the Frenchman as Antonio Conte is looking forward to rebuild the squad from the scratch. Well, everything has its pros and cons and here, we bring you 2 pros and 2 cons of Chelsea’s move for Kante:

Pro:

  1. Long Term Successor-

Chelsea are one of those clubs for whom many players dream to play and it is no secret that the London club can offer a deal that even the player cannot refuse easily. Kante has been a wall in the previous season and will continue to intercept the attacks for fun. Many English media are now claiming that Chelsea might lose their star man Nemanja Matic to Manchester United, and if the deal is placed, Kante will be the perfect man to take the job.

He could be the player, who could take the side to the top level and could become a long-term successor just like John Terry.

  1. Current Form-

As stated earlier, the 25-year-old Frenchman is currently enjoying the best form of his life and looking at the situation of Chelsea, they need a player who could lift them up with his performances. Chelsea will not be participating Europe and therefore, he could help the side to reach the top honour in the league itself.

Cons:

  1. Pressure-

There is no doubt that joining Chelsea will be one of the best things for Kante, but joining one of the best clubs in the world means having a lot of responsibilities on the shoulders. He had a wonderful season no doubt, but Chelsea’s supporters would be demanding excessive results and besides that, the pressure from the media might affect the performance of Kante as a Chelsea man.

We have a perfect example of Memphis Depay. The Dutchman had a great season with PSV, but was unable to cope with the pressure of English fans and media and was heavily criticized due to his poor performances and eventually, he was named as one of the worst buys of the season.

  1. Fight for the first team place-

It is rumored that Matic might leave the side in the coming summer, but what if he doesn’t? The Serbian has been there for Chelsea for  a long-long time and the fans would surely not love to see his talent wasting on the bench. The Strong and pacy defensive midfielder is capable of fighting for the first place and due to this, Kante’s first team action might hinder.

And besides Matic, few foreign names are also been linked, and if any of those rumour gets real, Kante will have to struggle a lot to find a first team place, while at Leicester, he is already a first choice player.
