Why This Belgian Will Be A Key Figure Under Antonio Conte Next Season

Eden Hazard is a curious case and it just cannot be understood how a player who won Chelsea the League title and was the best in the league can experience such a downfall that he scored his first league goal last week. This has been a disastrous season for the Belgian and that reflected on Chelsea’s results too, this proved that whenever Hazard plays well, the blues perform well.

Eden Hazard is the cog in Chelsea’s wheel which keeps them on track and when he is out of form, that wheel derails. Whenever he has been given freedom whether in France or England, Hazard has performed splendidly. Unnecessary comparison with Cristiano Ronaldo was not needed and the pressure got into him this campaign, and it can be said that ultimately Hazard’s poor run resulted in the sacking of the club’s greatest manager, Jose Mourinho; such is the importance of Eden Hazard.

New manager brings new ideas, new tactics and renews the hopes of the fans. Antonio Conte seems to be the perfect man for the blues to get out of this slump and make Chelsea title contenders again. It will be interesting to see how Conte handles the superstar that Hazard truly is. Conte has handled egos before in his time at Italy and he will face his toughest time at Stamford Bridge.

It is being rumored that Eden Hazard may leave at the end of the season, but Chelsea have valued him at about €70 million and after such a bad season, big clubs would hesitant to pay such a huge amount. This gives the Belgian a huge opportunity to redeem the lost pride and he has proved that he belongs and can perform at the highest level, and under Conte it serves as a perfect opportunity to show everyone that he can be one of the best in the world.

Conte prefers 4-3-3 and 3-5-2 formations and in both the strategies, Hazard can fit in perfectly. He can be the player around whom, The Italian can build his team. In a 4-3-3, he can play as an inverted winger to support the striker and create much impact in his favoured position. Also in a 3-5-2, he can play in a no.10 role and feed both strikers ahead of him. It’s a win-win situation for the blues to secure the services of Hazard for a long time.

Eden Hazard has stated that he has no intentions of leaving Stamford Bridge and the fans should not be worried as he has four more years left on his lucrative contract. Together with Conte, Chelsea and Hazard can reach the heights that are expected of them. Chelsea needs Eden Hazard as much as Hazard needs the blues. Conte’s teams consists of dominant defense and solid midfield, along with that, Hazard can prove to be a match winner again in the next season.
