Earlier this month, reports from several media such as Mirror spoke about Chelsea’s desire to sign Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante.
The player has impressed this season and despite just joining Leicester in a £5.6 million summer move, his value has already quadrupled to £20 million. Claudio Ranieri, Leicester’s manager is trying to make him sign a long term deal but the interest from Chelsea seems to have complicated the matter. The player recently scored in France’s 4-2 win over Russia and after that answered the media about his future plans.
“I will fight for Leicester this season. Next season we never know and we will see. At this moment I am focused on Leicester. I don’t mind about [being linked with] the other clubs.”
While it is not concrete it is understood that the player is not ruling out a move to Stamford Bridge as he too seems to be interested. Chelsea are also targeting several other players such as Leonardo Bonucci, Radja Nainggolan and Arturo Vidal.
