Forget Oscar – These 3 Attackers Might Do Justice For Chelsea Next Season

Expectations are high from Antonio Conte when he takes over the reigns at Stamford Bridge. Many changes are expected and it will be one hell of a test to bring the players that fit the bill for Conte’s tactics. The Italian is a strict workman and the reputation of a player doesn’t matter to him much when deciding the playing eleven.

Conte has dropped many established players during his career and has sold many. The one name that is rumoured to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of this campaign is the Brazilian Oscar. Oscar has had an average season so far and Juventus are speculated to be the next destination for the no. 10 Oscar.

Let’s take a look at the three players who can fill the void if Oscar leaves and can do well for the Club:

1. Sadio Mane:

The Senegalese international is a player of a kind and has been instrumental in Southampton’s rise to the top end of the table in the last couple of seasons. Mane, along with his goalscoring ability and positioning sense, has an amazing workrate and can contribute defensively which is decisive in Conte’s tactics. He has 10 goals and 6 assists to his name this season and it is the time for him to take a step ahead and join the blues for their surge to the top.

2. Riyad Mahrez:

Mahrez has been simply breathtaking this season and is one of the main reasons that Leicester City are surely going to win the Premier League. This has been a fairytale season for him and the Algerian is just the kind of magic that is needed to bounce back after the disappointing season. It will take a lot of money to lure him to Chelsea but the Club that can do that is Chelsea and the attraction of playing for the blues can be decisive in bringing the Algerian to Stamford Bridge.

3. Antoine Griezmann:

The Frenchman has set the Spanish League on fire and is undoubtedly Atletico’s best player. The player has himself stated that he wants to test himself in the Premier League and there won’t be a better opportunity to join Chelsea and help the blues to reach the top where it truly belongs. Also there will be the attraction of playing under Conte and Griezmann can spread his magic under him and can become one of the Premier League’s best players.
