The heading of this news is not very transparent when 50% of your first team strikers are currently here on loan. But that is the case with Chelsea with Falcao and Pato being on loan with the Blues till the end of the season.
While Falcao seems destined to be sent back to AS Monaco at the end of the season Pato’s agent has revealed that the player will like to stay back in the Premier League and preferably at Chelsea. The Brazilian is currently on loan from Corinthians and has made his first appearance only recently at Aston Villa where he scored on his debut.
The agent, Kia Joorabchian, is notorious for taking his players to small clubs in the Premier League as he did with Tevez and Mascherano when he brought them to West Ham in 2006. Joorabchian has revealed that his client would like to stay back and would like to make a move permanently to Stamford Bridge from Corinthians.
‘He wanted to come to Chelsea, that was his first choice,’ Joorabchian said. ‘He loves the Premier League and wants to stay here if Chelsea want to keep him.’
‘He’ll speak with the club at the end of the season – there is a new manager [Antonio Conte] coming in and we will have to have a conversation [about a permanent transfer].
‘I think a lot of things will change between now and the end of the season. He was very successful in his first Premier League match and he needs to continue to impress.’
