Alexandre Pato is currently on loan at Chelsea from Corinthians and the loan spell is set to expire at the end of the season but according to Daily Star the player may stay back at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea has an option to sign the player on a permanent deal at the end of the loan spell for a mere £8 million. After speaking to Pato, Conte seems to be of the mind that the Brazilian striker will be of use and can be part of the plan next season. Therefore, the Italian manager is reported to have told the club to make Pato a permanent signing at the end of the season.
This bodes well for Chelsea as they could focus on strengthening other departments of the team and not focus a lot on the attacking line up. While Conte will be handed a substantial transfer kitty there is no harm in using the funds wisely.
