Chelsea have been down and dusted this season, but a new campaign comes with new hope combined with extra hard work for the players. The blues have to bounce back as soon as possible with all the rivals looking to add more steel to their squads.

The most difficult obstacle will be the arrival of Pep Guardiola at Man City. Guardiola – the best manager of his generation will arrive in England with a huge reputation and will definitely work his magic in the Premier League.

Pep has won it all and will make City a force to reckon with. Chelsea have to come up with a solid plan to make life difficult for the Spaniard and Antonio Conte might be the counter to the next City manager. It takes the best to beat any Guardiola’s team so let’s take a look at the three ways Chelsea can topple Pep’s Man City:

1. Sign big names:

Chelsea have to splash the cash if they want to return to the very top of the Premier League. Guardiola will look to bring some big names to Etihad and Chelsea have their work cut out to rival City and bring new players to Stamford Bridge. Paul Pogba, Antonio Griezmann, John Stones, Miralem Pjanic are all linked and Abramovich has to provide all that he can to the new manager to take Chelsea upwards, where it belongs.

2. Sort out the defence:

Antonio Conte is known for his mean defence who leak very few goals. It is for sure that Conte will have an upper hand to Pep in sorting out the defence as City have an ageing squad. The Italian needs to sign some big names in defence and work with the existing squad to make Chelsea a mean defensive side and give an upper hand over Man City.

3. Developing the youth:

Chelsea have an army of youngsters from the academy than Man City. If Conte develops them and bring them into the first team, it will be a huge factor for the team and a happy thing for the fans to look forward to come to Stamford Bridge. Pep will be judged on the success as well as the players he will develop from the youth ranks, and if the Italian who will be taking over Hiddink finds the right blend of youth and established names, Chelsea can topple Pep Guardiola’s Man City.
