European medias have reported several times about Chelsea’s interest in Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic. Fichajes has recently reported that the English club was already in talks with the player for a potential summer transfer but things are about to be complicated.
As per the report, Manchester United are also looking to sign the player and may hijack the move if Chelsea does not act quick. The versatile midfielder is a target of Antonio Conte, incoming Chelsea manager but given United’s vast resource things may become challenging for Chelsea.
Pjanic has a release clause of £31.1 million and if triggered, the player can decide where he wants to go without Roma’s interference. Both United and Chelsea are capable to launching that bid amount but United may offer more wage to the player than the Blues. Chelsea are hoping that the presence of Antonio Conte will be able to outweigh the incremental wage offer.
