Yesterday there were reports in Chile that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has agreed to hand over the Blues’ responsibility to Manuel Pellegrini now that Pep Guardiola’s arrival is imminent at the Etihad. Today an Italian website Calciomercato has reported that it is rather Massimiliano Allegri who has been signed already.
The report went on to state that not only is Allegri being appointed but he will be bringing his staff along with him to Chelsea. So all in all, Allegri, assistant Marco Landucci, fitness coach Simeone Folletti and physio Stefano Grani will be moving to Chelsea. We are a little skeptical since Calciomercato says that the deal is secret and there definitely is doubt on its authenticity since the Italian media is well known for rumors.
After the departure of Jose Mourinho, Cheslea now stands at 13th position on Premier League and most likely will not qualify for Europe. With such condition in mind a major exodus from Chelsea cannot be ruled out and the club will need a strong manager with excellent approach to pull off the Chelsea goals with a lesser known team.
