Chelsea released an official statement in their website stating Ramires will be joining the Chinese Super League team Jiangsu Suning for a fee of £25 million. The deal is not bad considering it gives Chelsea a profit of £7 million when Ramires moved to Stamford Bridge from Benfica.
The current boss of Jiangsu Suning is Dan Petrescu, who was a Chelsea player earlier and the club is backed by Chinese retail giant Suning Commerce Group. Ramires last started a game when Jose Mourinho was in charge.
Though he has not been able to impress the Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink, it may so be that not only Ramires but a few other players may be leaving the club. The expectation is that the major shuffle will take place in summer. Some of the names that have been in media for two weeks now regarding transfer are Diego Costa, Eden Hazard, Loic Remy, Radamel Falcao and Thibaut Courtois.
