Chelsea are said to be the leaders among the pack of clubs that are vying for the signature of Alexandre Pato. The striker has scored 26 goals last season in 26 games for Sao Paolo where he was on loan from Corinthians. Now the player’s agent Gilmar Veloz has mentioned that things may not be that black and white in this transfer deal.
A month earlier Pato was seen in Chelsea stadium and it is also widely speculated that Pato prefers a move to Chelsea over other clubs.
However, latest reports from the Guardian and several other British Media houses confirm that Alexandre Pato will be flying to London overnight to finalise a six-month loan deal with Chelsea after the move was sanctioned by his current club, Corinthians.
It’s expected Pato will join on loan with a view to making the switch permanent if the Brazilian – whose contract at Corinthians expires at the end of December – impresses interim boss Guss Hiddink.
