Jose Mourinho, the 52-year old Portuguese, who guided the team to Premier League title just 7 months back has been released from his duties through mutual consent by the Stamford Bridge outfit. With the team languishing in 16^th place with just 15 points out of the 16 games just one point beyond relegation zone, lies the frenetic situation for the club officials to find a suitable replacement for not only filling the void left by one of the best current generation managers present but also to improve the table position and if possible make the European dream continue.

1. Guus Hiddink

The former Oranje manager is presently out of work. A very good friend of Abramovich and is also popular amongst the Chelsea faithfuls after his stint there as an interim manager where he lost just once in the entire season to Tottenham Hotspur.
