The young Frenchman had a superb game for Chelsea against Porto last week which is arguably his best for the Blues till date, and is likely to be selected ahead of Gary Cahil. He is Chelsea’s fastest defender, and while he may not be able to beat Cavani or Di Maria and even Lavezzi in a foot race, he’s Mourinho’s best option when it comes to dealing with pace. The defender is really growing into his boots this season, and apart from a few mistakes here and there, he’s pretty solid at the back. He may be called upon to deal with the hare-footed Cavani, so he will need to have a perfect game.
