Chelsea suffered another blow in their pursuit of a rather distant Top 4 finish in the Premier League with a defeat to Leicester. Currently just a point away from the relegation zone, the side will be hoping to have their mojo back at the earliest to avoid a rather shocking relegation battle at their hands. Mundo Deportivo have reported that Chelsea are looking to add some meat to their faltering midfield by signing Marco Verrati.
Interestingly, the paper further goes on to claim that the move has already been rejected by his club and the player prefers a move to either Spain or Italy. It remains to be seen if the management at Stamford Bridge will still pursue him. Should they land the star midfielder, it would indeed add a lot more steel, creativity and prospect to their midfield.
