Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard has now accepted that he is going through a ‘difficult spell’, after the Belgian International failed to score in the opening 10 games of the new campaign. The 24-year-old winger netted recently in Belgium’s 4-1 win over Andorra though he has failed to replicate his impressive form from last term at the club level this time around.
The Blues’ superstar helped Jose Mourinho’s side win two titles and won the Premier League Player of Season award in the previous campaign. The attacking midfielder is still that he can ‘work hard in order to bounce back’ and make a difference in order to turn things around.
Speaking to the Mirror, he stated, “This is the first time in my career that I have had such a difficult spell like this. I can’t really explain it. All I know is that I will need to work hard in order to bounce back. At Chelsea, we have concerns both as a team and individually. We all thought our recent win against Arsenal would give us lift-off – but instead we fell straight back into our bad ways.“
The former Lille man did however support his manager Jose Mourinho, who has been under a lot of pressure in recent times and added, “I am not too worried for him – Mourinho is the best coach in the world when it comes to dealing with pressure. I am an optimist, and I know I can learn a lot from tough spells.“
