The champions of England are back on song after a dismal start to the season. With 3 wins in 3 matches and one of them against Arsenal, it has been a good turnaround. Chelsea might be still off the race for now, but then again they know how to make a comeback. Their next test is Newcastle United. With most of their starters coming back to form this should not be a problem to see off this team. But Jose Mourinho still hasn’t won a single match at Newcastle. 5 games in St. James Park have churned out 2 draws and 3 losses for the Blues with Mourinho at the helm. So Mourinho might consider to break this vicious chain once and for all. He will field a strong team and hope everything goes according to plan .This is what his starting 11 might look like.
Asmir Begovic
With Courtois out, Chelsea have got one of the best second goalkeepers in the league this season. With beautiful reflexes and confident between the sticks, Begovic is already a favourite among the Blues’ fans. Without him, the matches that they have lost might have had a very demoralizing scoreline for the Blues this season. So with him between the sticks Chelsea is looking very solid till the time Courtois returns.
Azpilicueta, Zouma, Terry, Rahman
This weekend we might see the premier league debut of Baba Rahman since he has impressed all with his good performances in both the league cup and the champions league matches. With his speed and defensive work-rate, he is surely a good buy. Zouma and Terry will be marshalling the defence with Cahill, who might be getting a well-deserved rest. Azpilicueta, with his preferred position on the right, might excel even more and cause problems for the Newcastle defence.
Matic, Loftus-Cheek, Hazard, Fabregas, Pedro
With the kind of performances that Loftus-Cheek has turned in recently, it won’t be a surprise if Jose Mourinho starts him tomorrow along with Matic in central midfield. Hazard and Pedro might be playing on the left and the right wing respectively while Fabregas can play down the middle and create those passes that can cut down any defence in half.
Remy
He will be the perfect striker for Jose Mourinho’s team right now considering the fact that Costa is out with a ban and not being in form as well. Remy should be given a chance to have a go at it against his old club and prove his worth. With already scoring against Walsall, in the league cup match, his confidence will be on a high and it might be just enough to break the jinx at St. James Park for the Mourinho’s side.
