£39m Chelsea Target Heads To London, But What Could He Offer The Blues?

Brazil international Hulk stirred the pot in west London yesterday as he posted a picture on his official Instagram account. Having been linked with a move to Chelsea in the past, according to the Daily Mail, the stocky forward must have known that the image of him and his agent on a private jet would have sparked speculation. The post was captioned ‘Going to work in London. With my manager and friend # Teo’. But should the £39m-rated Zenit striker be on his way to the Bridge, what would he bring?

Unlike anything that Jose Mourinho currently has at the club, Hulk is a powerful player who loves to run directly at people.

While Torres’ link up play has diminished over the years, Samuel Eto’o is a man who loves to feed on the scraps in the box and Demba Ba’s main strength lies in the air. So Hulk would offer a different option straight away, should the trio stay at the club.

He’s also a creative forward – as well as the 12 goals that he has scored this season, the former Porto man has also notched six assists.

With all the intricate players currently in the squad it would be nice to have some raw physicality in our ranks, so I give the potential move the nod.

Blues fans, do you agree?
