1) Michael Essien
The midfielder has had next to no involvement since he returned from Real Madrid in the summer and I think it is time for the Blues to get rid. With Ramires bossing the midfield with John Obi Mikel and Frank Lampard doing a good job of supporting him, as well as the fact Nemenja Matic is said to be on his way to the club, I think they can afford to let him go.
2) David Luiz
The fuzzy-haired Brazilian was a popular choice last season under Rafa Benitez, but he simply isn’t a Jose Mourinho player. Whereas the Portuguese coach enjoys his teams playing a tight game who hit opponents on the break, Luiz has been labelled a calamity by some fans as he tend to go wandering.
Should there be interest in his services then I think he should be sold, with a young centre-half coming the other way. Perhaps Nottingham Forest’s Jamaal Lascelles.
3) Demba Ba
The former Newcastle forward hasn’t had a season to remember so far, and I don’t think that it will end any differently. He’s not the most productive striker but has his qualities, though I think if there is a chance to get rid Mourinho should take it.
