Costa is an incredible player, and it’s a shame that it’s taken so long for people to realise that. The 25-year-old is a raw player who plays with his heart on his sleeve, which is a reason why some fans aren’t particularly fond of him, but the aggression gives him another level to platform his talent.
Now in his prime, Costa is scoring quality goals on a consistent basis and is proving La Liga isn’t all about Barcelona and Real Madrid.
He has struck 20 league goals in 21 outings so far this season for the capital club, as well as four in cup competitions, and has been one of the standout players in European football.
To throw him into the Chelsea mix up would potentially be an incredible move, as he would be spearheading an attacking unit of Oscar, Eden Hazard, Willian and Mohamed Salah.
Forget about Demba Ba and Fernando Torres, and even Samuel Eto’o. With Romelu Lukaku returning in the summer, a potential move for Costa could see Chelsea dominate next season, in my opinion.
