Andre Villas-Boas has confirmed that he is worried about his future at the club.
Up until now he’s always stated that he has the backing of owner Roman Abramovich but in an open interview with Portuguese radio station TSF said: “It’ll be one of two [reactions], a continuation of the project and full support or just the cultural pattern that has happened before.”
And even said, “We don’t know if it’ll be tomorrow or in two years from now. It’ll depend upon what is your understanding of what is happening at the moment.”
The season hasn’t gone well and the club find themsleves 17 points behind league leaders Manchester City and recently lost to 3-1 to Napoli in the first leg of the Champions League.
Should the club fail to qualify for the Champions League then it would be a disaster and it would most likely see the end of AVB.
The Blues currently have one more point than they did this time last season and have gone further in the both the FA and League Cup, but it looks like the team are unlikely to win anything this season.
Rather worryingly AVB admitted some of the squad are not backing his ‘project’ but Roman Abramovich does, should that change he could get the boot like so many before him.
