Essien back for Chelsea reserves

Excellent news as Michael Essien has was back in action on Monday for the first time since seriously injuring his knee injury.                                                                                                                                                          

on Monday he played for the first time in six months in a reserve match with West Brom.                                                                                      

The match was his first game in six months, he played for 75 minutes –  the final score saw Chelsea lose 3-2 but the important fact was that Essien played.                                                                                                              

Essien’s comeback was too late for him to get in the Ghana squad for the African Nations Cup, which starts on January 21.
