Alex on the move, but where?

Whilst Alex is seen as surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, he has many other suitors.

It is thought that he would prefer a move back to Brazil to join Santos, where he would be happy to take a drop in wages but there is no deal in place.

Andre Villas-Boas accepted the defender’s transfer request last month and has no plans to bring him back into the team even though the team currently lacks defensive options.

Juventus have been interested in the ex-PSV defender, and could make a move now the transfer window has re-opened.

Meanwhile, London rivals QPR are also thought to be keen on signing the Brazilian. Even though his contract is up at the end of the season, the Blues are still looking for a fee of around £2m.
