When Ashley Cole meets the FA panel he is expected to tell them that he did not hear John Terry making any racist comments to QPR’s Anton Ferdinand.
The FA has launched an investigation into Sunday’s events during the West London derby at Loftus Road, where QPR made an official complaint about John Terry.
It is not only the football federation but also the Metropolitan Police are looking into claims that the England captain called Ferdinand a “f****** black c***’ during the match.
Chelsea full-back Cole was the closest to the incident and was expected to be called-up as a witness but according to SunSport it is thought that the ex-Gooner did not hear any racial comments.
Terry has denied using racial language, and knows if he the complaint is upheld by the FA disciplinary committee then he will never play for England again.
The matter has toe dealt with quickly as England face Spain in a friendly on November 12, both Terry and Anton’s brother Rio are expected to be called up. Some good news for JT is that Fabio Capello will not take the captaincy away from Terry until he knows the outcome of the enquiry.
“I welcome the FA inquiry and look forward to clearing my name as soon as possible”, Terry said in a statement.
