Blues’ striker Fernando Torres became a doubt for Sunday’s opener against Stoke following a head injury during Spain’s defeat in Italy.
Torres only lasted 14 minutes and was substituted after receiving a knock on the head, it is currently unknown how bad the injury is. The Spaniard was immediately taken to the hospital but it is thought that was just as a precaution.
After a slow start to his career at Stamford Bridge, Torres will be desperate to play as much as he can and to find his scoring touch as quickly as possible so he prove his doubters wrong.
