MODRIC, WELCOME TO CHELSEA

Spurs is a great club, I for one respect our London brothers, but Modric wants Chelsea. – And more importantly, Chelsea want him; the club, coach, players, owner, fans, even our jersey wants Luka Modric.
We’ve always wanted Modric, even before he went to Spurs but our team was star-studded and the idea would have been for him to go out on loan for a period of time to continue his development but instead he wanted to come straight away. This was just speculation and rumour when Jose Mourinho was boss, but if this was true, it showed that the boy believed in himself and he was right.
If he had come to Chelsea some years ago, he would have learnt a thing or two from the Lampard which would have made him an exceptional midfielder with an excellent finishing touch.
He is right again, having never  spoken out as ever – It is clear that he wants the move badly, and I think we should not fail him.
Chelsea should make a more respectable bid to Spurs, allowing a sit down so the matter can be thrashed out – which will allow Spurs to save face in this whole fracas. Whilst, I personally respect the Tottenham management team and feel they have been exceptional on and off the pitch in recent seasons. If we were to place a bid of around 28 million pounds then I think they would agree, it would be good business for both clubs, and would see one of the best midfielders in the Premier League playing at the Bridge.
There is no need having Modric fight the battle alone, we should help him the way we helped AVB when he resigned from Porto. It was a statement of intent we need prospective players to make, Luka has made his; now let’s make ours.
It’s best for Spurs to let him go early so they can use the money to bring in on some of their targets, and naturally it is better for us if he comes early so he can get used to the team and surroundings.
I don’t know if submitting a request like Torres did would speed up the process, but as an observer I think he is through with Spurs and wants a new challenge in a club that challenges for everything every season.
In addition, he wants to remain in London, but also he wants to move to Chelsea, we are in his heart.
Luka, we hope you make it over because we want you bad, we will receive you with open arms.
Good luck.
