Early Injury Concern …

After just one training session and Chelsea have already had their first injury blow of the season, not news the fans will be pleased to hear.
Chelsea, have confirmed that Michael Essien has injured his knee, but so far have not revealed the full extent of the damage the Ghanaian has suffered.
Over the last few seasons Essien has had a lot of injury issues, he missed most of 2008/09 after damaging his cruciate knee ligaments. He then picked up another injury during the African Cup of Nations in 2010 he went on to miss the World Cup later that year.
There rumours floating around that this injury could be as bad, but their is limited news coming from the club: “Michael Essien suffered an injury to his right knee during training this week.
Before adding “He will undergo tests over the next few days to determine the extent of that injury.”
Sadly, for the moment it is a case of watch this space ….
