It is no secret that Andre Villas-Boas is keen to add a creative player to the squad, and having failed to bring in Argentine Javier Patore he could move for Brazilian star Kaka.

As well as looking at the ex-Milan playmaker, Villas-Boas is still interested in bringing Croatian Luka Modric to Stamford Bridge, despite Spurs insisting the creative midfielder is not for sale at any price.

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho does not see the 29-year-old Brazilian as part of his plans as he looks to take the Real Madrid squad to the next level. He has struggled to impress in the Spanish captial since making his big money move in 2009.

Kaka was linked with a move back to Milan but their chief executive Adriano Galliani said: “It’s an impossible task.”

That means that if the Brazilian could find a move to Blues as his only option, but it is unknown whether he would want to move to England.
