Carlo Ancelotti will be keen to finish the season with a win, he has already said that Fernando Torres will be recalled to the starting line-up on Sunday, but Jose Bosingwa will miss out again, having missed last two game due to a knee injury.
For the away side, keeper Steve Harper and skipper Kevin Nolan are both out injured, the latter has just had ankle surgery.
Cheik Tiote is expected not to play as he is one booking away from a three-match ban which will be wiped clear at the end of the season.
